Develop an Attitude of Gratitude

Instead of focusing on what you don't have, take time to really think about your life. It's easy to forget about all of the blessings and wonderful aspects of our lives when we're too busy focusing on other desires.

Keep a gratitude journal and make lists of all of the things you're grateful for. It will be difficult to feel bad when you're constantly aware of all of the good things in your life.

Transcendence

Establish a spiritual practice. This could mean attending a church or spiritual group, or practicing yoga or meditation. Understanding that we're all intimately connected, and feeling like you're a part of something bigger than yourself are integral components of happiness.
